ABOUT THE CONFERENCE:

This conference offers community healthcare professionals (public health nurses, childbirth educators, dieticians, lactation consultants, clinic nurses, physicians, doulas and midwives) an opportunity to learn common breastfeeding challenges experienced by mothers after leaving the hospital.

You will explore solutions and sources of support and at the end of the conference, you will be able to:

• Show mothers how to confidently achieve latch
• Describe current ideas and controversies regarding food allergy in the breastfed infant
• Advocate lactation practices that minimize the risk of dental disease
• Recommend actions that will help mothers with suppressed lactation, increase their milk production

SNACKS & SEASONAL LUNCH

The workshop fee includes a continental breakfast during registration, coffee and tea at the morning break, and a snack in the afternoon. For your enjoyment, a spectacular lunch is being catered by celebrated Pacific Northwest chef, Tamara Murphy, and features a selection of seasonal foods locally farmed and harvested.
