The International Affiliation of Tongue-tie Professionals presents the first public conference specifically about the tongue-tie phenomenon. This course is designed to train those who will teach the 20 hour course required by the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative for training health professionals, educators and staff. This offering provides a week long learning laboratory to assist participants in mastering the materials, methods and scientific evidence that form the basis of the 20 Hour Course (as developed by UNICEF and the World Health Organization, and adapted for the US by Healthy Children Project).

Catherine Watson Genna, BS, IBCLC is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in private practice in New York City. Certified in 1992, Catherine has a particular interest in helping mothers and babies breastfeed when they have medical challenges. She speaks to health care professionals around the world on assisting babies with anatomical, genetic, or neurological problems. Her presentations and her writing feature her clinical photographs, which have also been published widely.

The Certified Lactation Counselor®, (CLC) certification is the premier National Certification in Lactation Management for the United States.
