Course Description:
Breastfeeding is normal infant feeding. Supporting mothers and babies throughout the entire breastfeeding journey will lead to improved breastfeeding outcomes. Join Wendy Wright as she shares strategies to eliminate breastfeeding problems and thereby increase breastfeeding duration and success. This comprehensive seminar will include current information on:

Baby's inborn feeding behaviors
Appropriate expectations for the first two hours, the first two days, the first two months
Hypoglycemia
Newborn jaundice
Nipple pain and breast issues
Milk production and supply
Milk expression and storage
Techniques and tools

Most families intend to breastfeed prior to delivery and yet, very few are still exclusively breastfeeding at their infant's two month birthday. Wendy looks forward to sharing techniques and ideas to increase your breastfeeding knowledge to support the families under your care. We will utilize videos, models and hands-on demonstrations to make the day engaging and informative.
