This two day conference will feature Diane Powers and Diane Weissinger. The following topics will be addressed:Nipple shields, the physics of latch, birth medications and breastfeeding,vitamin D supplementation, supporting mother's instinctual behaviour to successfully breastfeed, using "lactocentric" language to promote breastfeeding as the biological norm, changing paradigms in infant latch, and resolving ethical issues.

For over thirty years, Dr. Bocar has worked with families in all phases of lactation, and helped develop the Breastfeeding Resource Center at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Bocar is an International board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She served on the original panel of experts that developed the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners’ certification process in 1984 for IBCLCs.
