The 2010 Area Conference will be an exciting event and there's no vacation destination that is as pro-breastfeeding, baby, and family friendly as a La Leche League conference. We will see you there! As one local Leader said, "LLL conferences are wonderful events! I always come away from them with renewed enthusiasm about LLL, valuable information and ideas about parenting, and a big dose of "warm fuzzies" from seeing friends, spending time with family, hearing inspirational speakers, and being around happy children and families (you rarely, if ever, hear a child cry at an LLL conference)."

The Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine (ABM) would like to invite you to attend the 3rd European Regional Conference and Course on Breastfeeding Medicine from March 20-21, 2010 in Torun, Poland. In addition to the International Meetings in the USA, ABM is cooperating with the Copernicus University of Torun to host a European meeting of physicians on breastfeeding topics. This meeting will include speakers from different European countries and the United States and will concentrate on the discussion of breastfeeding issues for both mother and child.
Purpose of Symposium: Since 2005, academic scholars, practitioners, and activists have gathered together for a regular symposium on Breastfeeding and Feminism. The 2007 and 2009 symposia was funded in part by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Women’s Health. Over the years, the symposia have illuminated major constraints mothers experience as they seek to breastfeed their children in the 21st century.
