Speakers:
Associate Professor Katie Allen is the Principal Research Fellow, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute & practicing paediatric allergist and gastroenterologist at the RCH, Melbourne.
Monica Hogan is an IBCLC who works in private practice in Canberra. Monica is on the board of LCANZ. She has a strong interest in Tongue Tie and is part of the newly formed International Affiliation of Tongue-tie Professionals
Cheryl Ganly-Lewis RN; RM; Dip Fam Studies; IBCLC. Cheryl has worked with breastfeeding women for over 20 years. This has included an Australian homebirth practice, Community Midwifery care in NZ and working with young mothers.
Gwen Moody RN RM IBCLC is currently employed as a Clinical Midwifery Consultant - Postnatal Services across Sydney West Area Health Service. Gwen has shown her intense commitment to breastfeeding by the provision of the Breastfeeding Workshop four times a year and the Advance Practice Breastfeeding Course.
Yvette Sheehy has worked in Neonatal Intensive Care for over 25 years as an RN and as the Lactation Specialist for the last six years. Her qualifications include IBCLC, RN, RM, B. Health Science (nursing), Grad Cert in Child and Family Health. Yvette is also on the board of LCANZ
Gillian Opie MBBS. FRACP (Paed) IBCLC Full time Neonatal Paediatrician at the Mercy Hospital for Women, Heidelberg. Also an accredited Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative assessor and educator, treasurer of BFHI Victoria and On the board of LCANZ
Kerri McEgan has been an RM since 1982, qualified as an IBCLC in 1994 and completed a M. Midwifery in 2009. During this time she has played an integral role in the establishment of the Lactation Department and Breastfeeding Support Service at Mercy Hospital for Women.
Sue Cox AM RN, BMid, IBCLC, FILCA: Sue has been assisting women with breastfeeding for 35 years. Since working for 20 years as a hospital IBCLC she now works in her private practice and teaches on line with Health-e-Learning.
